Twenty(by)Telluride is a unique event that offers an intimate glimpse into the people involved with Telluride Mountainfilm through very fast-paced slide presentations. Presenters are challenged to share their story with exactly twenty slides and each slide is shown for exactly twenty seconds, calling for precision. Presenters will communicate what makes them tick—their inspiration, their creative process, their passions, their muse. Wild West Fest: 25th Annual
In its 25th year, the Sheridan Arts Foundation's Wild West Festival will take place from June 5-10. The event consists of a week of empowering activites for 48 at-risk youth from Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. The 4th of July kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station. Runners follow the Telluride Trail (4.600 feet long, 40 feet wide, 13% uphill grade) or can simply bushwack to the finish. The elevation gain is 1,810 feet from start to finish. The Everly Brothers Experience
The Everly Brothers Experience includes drummer Burleigh Drummond, electric guitarist Devon Geyer, bass player Eric Johnson, and vocalists/acoustic guitarists and brothers Zach and Dylan Zmed. Hardrock 100 Endurance Race
The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles, 33,050 feet of elevation climb, 33,050 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 66,100 feet ran at an average of over 11,000 feet.More Info
The race is held on a loop course, including 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country terrain in Southern Colorado's San Juan Mountain range.
The run begins and ends in Silverton, Colorado and travels through Telluride, Ouray and the ghost town of Sherman, and crossing 13 major mountain passes in the 12,000 to 13,000 foot (elevation) range. Imogene Pass Run
What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot Imogene Pass . This is a 17.1 mile point to point mountain race. The pass is a 4×4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline.
