    Telluride Art Walk

    The Art Walk takes place on the first Thursday of every month (excluding May, November, and December). Over twenty venues host this event to showcase new exhibitions and artists. A free self-guided Art Walk map (Gallery Guide)  can be found both online and at participating venues. The event is a great opportunity to stroll around town, visit the local galleries and businesses, and to mingle with the artists and the supporters of arts in the community.     Touch-A-Truck Fundraiser

    Mountain Munchkins is hosting its tenth annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser. The event is kid-centric, and children can touch, climb on, explore, and even sit in the driver's seat of the vehicles: service vehicles, work equipment, firetrucks, and police cars. This year there will also be two raffles during the event. People can purchase a $10 raffle ticket to win festival passes for the Ride Festival, Telluride Yoga Festival, Telluride Blues & Brews, and Telluride Jazz Festival.     4th of July Celebration

    4th of July in Telluride is small-town American at its finest. We really do it up here — running races, parade, BBQ, family games in Town Park, airplane flybys, and fireworks.
    Rundola
    The day kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station.     7th Annual Rundola

    Get your sweat on for a good cause before the rest of the day's festivities!
     The 4th of July kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station.  Runners follow the Telluride Trail (4.600 feet long, 40 feet wide, 13% uphill grade) or can simply bushwack to the finish. The elevation gain is 1,810 feet from start to finish. Participants are grouped by age and gender into categories for the race.  You can register for the Rundola  here .

    Hardrock 100 Endurance Race

    The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles, 33,050 feet of elevation climb, 33,050 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 66,100 feet ran at an average of over 11,000 feet.
    The race is held on a loop course, including 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country terrain in Southern Colorado's San Juan Mountain range. 
    The run begins and ends in Silverton, Colorado and travels through Telluride, Ouray and the ghost town of Sherman, and crossing 13 major mountain passes in the 12,000 to 13,000 foot (elevation) range. Completion of the event is marked by kissing the Hardrock, a picture of a ram's head painted on a large stone.

    Imogene Pass Run

    What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot  Imogene Pass . This is a 17.1 mile point to point mountain race. The pass is a 4×4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. The runners finish at the  Sheridan Opera House on Oak Street in Telluride.
