Get Your Cross-County Fix

Explore Telluride on a pair of Nordic skis! Cross-country skiing is a great way to get exercise while taking in the sights of the stunning mountain vistas. The Telluride Nordic Center takes pride in keeping the trail systems groomed and maintained, making the local trails some of the best to explore in the area.

Here are a few of our favorite places to Nordic ski:

  • Town Park - The Town Park's trails sit just outside of the Nordic Center. These trails are almost two miles and wind through Town Park in a circle, making it a great spot for beginners or for a quick workout.
  • Valley Floor - The Valley Floor features over nine miles of groomed trails just outside Telluride great for extended trips and wonderful views. Take in the sights of the elk in the valley, as well as the scenic river flowing beside the trails. No dogs are permitted on these trails.
  • Mountain Village - For those seeking stunning views, this is where you want to Nordic ski. There are 10 total trails in Mountain Village for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing that include three trails in the Telluride Ski Resort off of Lift #10 and others that run through Mountain Village.
  • Looking for something a bit off of the beaten path? Priest Lake and Trout Lake offer pristine trails in stunning mountain settings just a short drive from Telluride. Both offer dog-friendly routes, making these trails ideal for Fido!
