Telluride Mountainfilm

Celebrating Indomitable Spirit

Telluride Mountainfilm has been presenting the finest documentary films every Memorial Day weekend since 1979. Primarily focused on individuals completing awe-inspiring adventures, there are also plenty of screenings of activism. Typically built around a theme, you can count on seeing plenty of movies about climate change, preventing extinction, reduction of plastic use, and examples of humankind overcoming all sorts of adversity.

There are symposiums and coffee talks throughout the weekend inspiring dialogue and solutions. On the social side, there is an ice cream social free to all on Saturday. Although this festival requires a purchased pass, each night there is a free screening in Telluride Town Park. Saturday night is designated "Adrenaline".  Bring a lawn chair and a sleeping bag and get ready for a heart-pounding program of surfing, skateboarding, mountaineering and more presented as shorts, and sometimes accompanied by a feature movie.
